What information do we collect? How do we use it?

When you place an order with us we have to ask you for your name, email address, delivery address, date of birth, and in some cases we also require your bank code and account number or your credit card number and expiry date. We require this information to process your order and to keep you up to date with the status of your order.
Your purchase details are also used to provide you with specific personal product recommendations. We also analyse the behaviour of our customers on our website in order to improve the appearance and structure of our product range. We also use stored information to occasionally let you know about special offers, new products and other offers that you have said that you would like to hear more about when subscribing to our newsletter.
Insofar as the data is centrally processed for the improvement of our customer service, or for technical reasons, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that the data protection rights of our customers are fully adhered to.

Will Prophila use this information for other purposes in future?

Prophila does not make your personal data available to third parties. However, in order to provide you with the best possible shopping experience, along with useful additional services, we do not exclude the possibility that we may allow the Prophila customer database to be anonymously analysed and improved by third parties. However, this will of course only occur while strictly maintaining the confidentiality of your data. It is also possible that we may provide trusted third parties with information about our customers, our revenues, customer behaviour and related site information. However, this data will be collated in such a way that specific individuals will not be identifiable.

Your Agreement

You may stop the use, processing and transfer of your personal data for marketing purposes at any time by sending an informal postal message to Prophila GmbH, Kerkrader Strasse 3-5, 35394 Giessen, or by sending an email to webshop@prophila.com. However, this does not apply to the data required to fulfil your order. Upon receipt of your message of revocation, we will no longer use, process or transmit your data for any purpose other than fulfilling your order, and we will refrain from sending you any additional advertising materials or catalogues.

If we decide to alter our guidelines regarding privacy and data protection, we will publish any changes on our website.
